Andreae filters are a specialized category of paint booth exhaust filter constructed from layers of corrugated cardboard and polyester media. Unlike flat pad or bag-style filters, Andreae filters use a labyrinth-style baffle construction that forces exhaust air through a tortuous path — trapping paint particles progressively as air moves through each layer. The result is near 100% paint arrestance efficiency combined with exceptionally high loading capacity before replacement is needed.

Products we carry

  • Andreae High Efficiency (HE) Filter — Near 100% filtration efficiency with high loading capacity. Available in multiple sizes to fit standard exhaust plenum openings. Ideal for shops that need maximum overspray capture and want to extend time between filter changes.
  • Andreae UCUBE 300 — A cube-format Andreae filter measuring 19.2×19.2×11.7 inches with up to 55 lb of paint-holding capacity per cube. Designed for exhaust systems that use cube or tower-style filter housings. Sold in boxes of four.

Why use Andreae-style filters?

Andreae filters are typically chosen when a shop needs longer service intervals, handles high paint volumes, or is subject to air quality compliance requirements that demand consistent near-100% overspray capture. The multi-layer cardboard and polyester construction means the filter continues to function efficiently even as it loads — maintaining consistent airflow and pressure balance longer than a standard fiberglass or polyester pad. They are a common choice in high-production automotive refinishing environments, fleet painting operations, and industrial coating lines.
