Mesh Pre-Filters

Reusable metal mesh pre-filters are installed in front of the primary ceiling intake filter in compatible spray booths to capture large debris, insects, and coarse particles at the first stage of filtration. By intercepting larger contaminants before they reach the primary filter, mesh pre-filters extend the service life of the downstream ceiling blanket or panel filter — reducing how frequently the primary filter needs to be replaced and lowering overall filtration costs in shops that deal with high ambient dust or debris levels.

Reusable vs disposable pre-filters

Metal mesh pre-filters are a long-term investment in filter system efficiency. They require periodic cleaning — typically by compressed air blow-out or washing — but do not need to be replaced on a regular schedule the way fiber pre-filters do. They are most cost-effective in environments with consistent, moderate levels of ambient debris where extending primary filter life is a priority. In environments with extremely fine particulates that pass through the mesh openings, a fiber-based pre-filter media may be more appropriate as a first-stage addition.
