Polyester exhaust filter pads offer longer service life than standard fiberglass pads, making them the preferred choice for higher-volume spray operations and shops that want to reduce how frequently they’re changing exhaust filters. Constructed from 22 g/ft² high-loft polyester media, these pads deliver superior overspray capture with greater resistance to moisture and better structural integrity under continuous airflow compared to fiberglass alternatives.

When to choose polyester over fiberglass

Polyester pads are the better choice when spray volume is high, when the booth runs daily production, or when you’re using high-solids or high-build coatings that generate significant overspray. Polyester media holds its shape better under heavy load, resists moisture more effectively, and typically lasts longer before reaching capacity — reducing replacement frequency and lowering the total cost of filter changes over time. For lighter-use operations or budget-conscious shops, fiberglass pads remain a practical and cost-effective option.

Note: this collection also includes the charcoal filter blanket, which serves a different function — odor and VOC control — and is used in applications where exhaust air quality is a specific concern, such as waterborne paint environments or facilities with strict odor management requirements.
