Spraybake Paint Booth Filters — Intake, Exhaust & Replacement Filters

Spraybake paint booths were originally manufactured in England and Canada and have not been in production for some years. A large number of them are still running in automotive and industrial shops today. Finding the right replacement filters can be tricky since the brand is no longer active — we stock the intake and exhaust filter options that fit the most common Spraybake configurations.

Intake Filters

Most Spraybake booths use a ceiling-mounted blanket filter to clean incoming air before it reaches the spray zone. These polyester blankets trap dust and airborne particles that would otherwise settle into wet paint.

If your booth uses a standard ceiling opening, browse the sizes listed above. For non-standard dimensions, the custom-cut ceiling blanket option lets you enter your exact measurements at checkout.

Exhaust Filters

Spraybake booths use one of three exhaust filter types depending on the model and how the exhaust section is configured. Each has a different balance of cost, efficiency, and service life.

Fiberglass pads

The most widely used exhaust filter in older Spraybake booths. Flat fiberglass pads sit in the exhaust pit or panel and catch paint overspray as air exits the booth. They are cost-effective and easy to cut to size if needed.

Polyester roll media

Polyester rolls offer better filtration efficiency than fiberglass and last longer under heavier spray loads. They are cut from the roll to match your exhaust opening dimensions. A good choice for shops that spray frequently or use high-solids materials.

Cardboard baffle filters

A layered cardboard filter designed for high-capacity overspray capture. The baffle structure creates a tortuous path that traps paint before it reaches the exhaust. Used in booths where overspray volume is high and filter life needs to stretch further between changes.

Choosing the Right Exhaust Filter

If you are not sure which exhaust filter your Spraybake booth uses, the simplest approach is to look at what is currently installed — most shops continue using the same type. If the booth has been dormant or recently acquired, check the exhaust pit dimensions and note whether the existing filter is a flat pad, a rolled sheet, or a layered cardboard panel.

Filter type Best for
Fiberglass pads General use, cost-conscious shops
Polyester roll media Higher spray volume, longer service life
Cardboard baffle filters Heavy overspray, extended filter intervals

Frequently Asked Questions

Are Spraybake filters still available even though the brand is discontinued?

Yes. While Spraybake no longer manufactures booths, the filter types they used — polyester ceiling blankets, fiberglass exhaust pads, and roll media — are standard formats that we stock in a range of sizes. In most cases, you can match your current filter by size rather than by brand.

How do I find the right filter size for my Spraybake booth?

Measure the filter opening directly — width and length for ceiling and exhaust filters. Then match those dimensions to the sizes listed in this collection. If nothing matches exactly, the custom-cut ceiling blanket option covers non-standard intake sizes.

How often should I replace filters on a Spraybake booth?

The same general rules apply as with any spray booth: ceiling intake filters every 1–2 times per year, exhaust filters every 3–6 months depending on how much you spray. On an older booth, it is worth inspecting filters more frequently since worn seals or airflow issues can cause filters to load faster than expected.

My Spraybake booth has an unusual exhaust setup — can you help?

Contact us with the booth model (if known) and the dimensions of your exhaust opening. We will advise on the best filter type and size for your setup.

Not sure which filter fits your booth?

Use our Find My Filter tool to match your booth, or send us a photo of your booth tag or current filter and a technician will identify the exact filter and size for you. Need a non-standard size? We custom-cut filters to your exact dimensions.
